This year, Worcester Beer Festival has teamed up with Ledbury Real Ales and Grinnbull Brewing to create two exclusive festival ales — but before they hit the bar, they need names! That’s where you come in….
Help Us Name Our New Pale Ale!
Ledbury have brewed something rather special, and now we need your help to give it the perfect name.
Our latest 4.0% Pale Ale is a celebration of Herefordshire’s hop-growing heritage. Brewed with locally grown Early Choice Goldings and a unique blend of rare experimental hops, it bursts with tropical fruit, fresh citrus and subtle herbal notes, all balanced by a smooth, refreshing finish.
Two of the hops used—CF247 and CF227—are no longer grown commercially, making this a truly limited brew and a chance to taste a small piece of British hop history.
Now it’s over to you – Think local, think hops, think Herefordshire… and get those creative juices flowing. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Help Us Name Our New Plum Dark Ale!
Grinnbull have brewed a brand-new 7.0% Plum Dark Ale, but what name would make it stand out at the bar?
Made with plenty of locally grown Worcestershire plums, this rich, warming ale is full of treacle, molasses, dark chocolate and juicy plum flavours, finishing with a smooth, balanced bitterness.
Now we’d love your help to give it the perfect name – whether it’s inspired by Worcestershire’s famous plums, local history, the countryside or something completely unexpected, we’re looking for a name that’s as memorable as the beer itself.
How to enter both competitions:
✅ Email your name for one or both beers to competitions@festival.worcester.camra.org.uk
✅ Tell us the inspiration behind your name (optional, but we’d love to hear it!).
✅ Entries close on 19th of July.
The winning names will appear on the official pump clips and at the bar during Worcester Beer Festival. The winners will each receive two tickets for any festival session along with a couple of pints to enjoy, plus most important – the bragging rights of naming an official festival beer!
Get your thinking caps on—we can’t wait to see what you come up with!
