Getting Here

The festival is in the grandstand of Worcester Racecourse, in the centre of the city.

There is car parking is nearby. Croft Road Car Park is at the end of Grandstand Road, and on the other side of Croft Road is the Cattle Market Car Park – just walk across Croft Road at the pedestrian lights and bear left to follow the racecourse boundary until you arrive at the grandstand. There’s more parking at Pitchcroft Car Park, on the other side of the racecourse – if you park here, just walk across the racecourse to the grandstand.

The festival is a 10 minute walk from Worcester Foregate Street railway station – trains from Birmingham, Bristol, Cheltenham, Oxford and Hereford. Exit the station and cross the road at the pedestrian lights, turn right and go past the cinema. Disappear down the alley next to the cinema and turn left at the end onto Farrier Street. Pass under the railway bridge and turn right onto Cherry Tree Walk (go pass the arch of the Worcester Brewing Company). Turn right at the end and then immediately left onto Netherton Court, following alongside the railway arches. Go past the Arch Rivals pub (unless you are thirsty) and continue down to the main road. Cross at the pedestrian lights and then follow the racecourse boundary around to the left. You’ll then reach Grandstand Road and the grandstand is in front of you.

It’s about 9 minutes from the bus station. Walk down the slope and exit from the lower door. Cross the road at the pedestrian lights to the left, then head for the river keeping to the right along the Dolday. At Croft Road use the pedestrian lights to cross over to the riverside, then go right until you reach Grandstand road. Follow that to the festival.

From the main University campus, head South on Hylton Road towards the town bridge, but cross over the river on the Sabrina pedestrian bridge, and arrive right next to the grandstand. If you are staying in the Premier Inn by the county cricket ground, don’t cross the town bridge but head up Hylton Road opposite the hotel until you reach the pedestrian bridge, the cross to the grandstand.
