CAMRA is the Campaign for Real Ale.
CAMRA is one of the most successful consumer organisations in Europe. Founded by four beer lovers in 1971, today we represent over 150,000 beer drinkers and pub goers across the UK. Our vision is to have quality real ale (also referred to as ‘live beer’), cider and Perry, and thriving pubs and clubs in every community.
There are branches of CAMRA across the whole country, and Worcester Branch is centred on the City and covers South Worcestershire.
The Worcester Beer Cider and Perry festival is organised by the Worcester Branch in conjunction with neighbouring branches to celebrate all that’s great about our traditional drinks. But where would these be without great pubs to drink in? It’s the pub that’s really at our hearts. The campaign is all about promoting and protecting pubs and clubs as social centres for all and a central part of the UK’s cultural heritage.
